Campsite Managers / Wardens – Tyn Cornel Camping, Bala | Campsite Jobs in North Wales

Tyn Cornel Camping is a relaxed riverside campsite next to the National White Water Centre, just outside Bala, in the heart of Snowdonia National Park. It’s the perfect base for outdoor adventures — kayaking, hiking, mountain biking, and exploring North Wales’ stunning scenery.

We’re looking for an enthusiastic and friendly couple (or individuals) to join us as Campsite Managers (sometimes known as Wardens) in this permanent, year-round position. You’ll live on site in a modern two-bedroom house, with all utilities included, as part of the overall salary package, and play a key role in welcoming guests, keeping the site running smoothly, and maintaining our high standards of cleanliness and presentation.

Full training and ongoing support will be provided.

Role Overview

You will live on site in a modern two-bedroom house, with all utilities included as part of the overall salary package.

Your responsibilities will vary seasonally:

• March–November: guest experience, cleaning, grounds work, and the daily running of the site

• Winter months: maintenance, improvements, admin, planning, and preparing for the next season

This is a hands-on role with a balance of customer service, maintenance, cleaning, admin and outdoor work.

Campsite Manager – Key Responsibilities

• Welcoming guests and handling check-ins using our online booking system (Anytime
  Booking – training provided)
• Answering phone and email enquiries and running our small on-site shop
• Managing our milk and coffee/ice cream vending machines, including refilling,
  cleaning, and liaising with suppliers
• Monitoring and managing stock levels for the shop, vending machines, and general
  campsite supplies (e.g. cleaning products, consumables), and placing orders as
  required
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness in our facilities, glamping pods, and
  geodome
• Carrying out daily cleaning and nightly toilet checks / evening walkarounds during
  the busy season to ensure facilities remain spotless and safe
• Grounds maintenance including mowing, strimming, hedge cutting, bin runs, and
  general site upkeep
• Managing changeovers for glamping accommodation
• Carrying out basic repairs, painting, and winter maintenance projects
• Completing regular Health & Safety checks and assisting with fire safety
• Advertising available seasonal pitches, meeting prospective customers, showing them
  around the site
• Managing our social media and email marketing (training provided)
• Supporting our sister site, Llandyn Caravan & Camping in Llangollen, around once a week during quieter months (vehicle provided)

About You – What We’re Looking for In Campsite Managers

We’re looking for people who are:

• Friendly, approachable, and confident working with the public
• Hard-working, reliable, and happy to work flexibly (including weekends and bank
  holidays)
• Practical, hands-on, and able to carry out basic maintenance or DIY tasks
• Confident using and learning new systems (training provided on Anytime Booking)
• Comfortable managing stock, placing orders, and handling simple admin
• Confident operating vehicles and machinery such as a ride-on mower
• Enthusiastic about the outdoors and countryside living
• Hold a full UK driving licence

Previous experience in hospitality, camping, or maintenance would be an advantage but isn’t
essential — we value attitude and initiative most of all.
First Aid training will be provided if not already held.
