Road Cycling

Road cyclists are spoilt for choice in this area.
In fact, Snowdonia’s dramatic setting is home to the epic Etape Eryri cycle sportive, now in its fifth year, and steadily growing in popularity.
You can challenge yourself with cycling legend Sir Dave Brailsford’s eponymous routes, opening this year and including the classic Llanberis Pass. Or have a crack at nearby Bwlch-y-Groes, also known as Hellfire Pass – at 3.5km long, with an average gradient of 11%, it’s quite a climb, but well worth the slog for the stunning views.
Whatever your age or ability, there are plenty of cycle routes we can show you. Getting out and about on two wheels is a great way to explore the local area around the campsite.
